The animated series Samurai Jack has been announced with an new upcoming season in 2016. A new teaser trailer can be seen above.
Adult Swim announced today that it would be airing a new season of Samurai Jack on its Toonami programming block. The series is once again being produced by Cartoon Network with Tartakovsky as executive producer.
The series follows titular character Jack, a time-displaced samurai, in his singular quest to travel back in time and defeat the tyrannical demon Aku. Originally airing baack in 2001, the series had garnered critical acclaim for its artstyle, story, and unique setting.
Samurai Jack won 4 Primetime Emmy Awards, 6 Annie Awards, and 1 OIAF Award, as well as eight additional nominations
